Star sighting!! Jack Black

You read that right!! My family and I just returned from a week long vacation in Kauai. Upon arriving at the airport for our flight out of Seattle whom did I incur? Yes, Jack Black. For those of you not in the "know" he is an actor and musician who starred in such films as "School of Rock" and "The Holiday".

Now, I am not usually one to stop an actor and ask for a photo or autograph. I grew up in LA and pride myself on playing it cool when I happen upon a star. I have some pretty good ones under my belt. I saw Jada Pinkett Smith lunching in Calabasas, and then there is Nicole Kidman at the Sydney Opera house. The thing that makes this star spotting somewhat interesting is the fact that I am pretty sure Jack Black noticed me back!!

It is not like I got all dressed up to fly across the pacific ocean with my 16 month old. It is not like I flashed him my winning smile and he melted in my arms. You see I was carrying enough luggage to qualify me as a sherpa on the inca trail and pushing a 16 month old in a stroller. I had a huge car seat backpack on my back, pulling a huge rolling suitcase with a pack and play stacked on top.

My husband and I have an airport game plan where he drops me and babe off at the curb and we check in. He takes the car to the airport lot and then takes the shuttle and meets us at security. So when I was walking in the double doors of the airport like a sherpa I create quite a scene. One of the lovely airline workers offered to help me and I laughed and said, oh no I do this all the time. I then turned to my left and there standing in front of me is Jack Black and his three person entourage. He gets three people to carry a suitcase and guitar! I am pretty sure he was on his way home to LA and told his lovely wife how he saw a crazy lady with a cute baby at the airport weighed down with luggage. When I make it big I am going to have an entourage too!
